Skin Redness & Sensitivity
Sensitive or red skin often reacts excessively to certain ingredients, products or foods with tightness, stinging, burning or itching.
Sensitive skin isn’t necessarily a clinical term, but can mean your skin has a tendency to be more reactive than average, and this can be on varying levels. Ongoing sensitivity can be difficult to live with, and to find the right skin products for.
Why is my skin so sensitive?
Most skins can be reactive to some products, however frequent sensitivity may mean an underlying skin condition such as rosacea (red skin), eczema (dry, itchy skin), psoriasis (dry rashes) or dermatitis caused by allergies. If your skin is extremely sensitive and inflamed, it may be best to visit a doctor, otherwise it’s important you are careful with what you use on your skin.
How can I reduce skin redness and sensitivity?
The best way to help manage sensitive skin and redness is to ensure you’re using products that don’t aggravate or irritate the skin further, but instead soothe the skin, and to help regulate your oil production with internal natural supplements. It’s best to use products that are gentle, fragrance-free and don’t include harmful chemicals that strip your skin of oil.
